چکیده

In this paper, we present TLBfind, a GPU code for simulating the hydrodynamics of droplets along with dynamic temperature field. TLBfind hinges on two-dimensional multi-component lattice Boltzmann (LB) model concentrated emulsion finite-size evolving in thermal convective state, just above transition from conduction to convection. The droplet concentration system is tunable and at core lies possibility measure large number physical observables characterising flow droplets. Furthermore, includes parallel implementation Delaunay triangulation useful detection droplets' plastic rearrangements, several types boundary conditions, supporting simulations channels structured rough walls. Finite Difference Lattice Boltzmann Method for Compressible Thermal Fluids

A finite difference lattice Boltzmann method based on the Bhatnagar–Gross–Krook-type modeled Boltzmann equation is proposed. Themethod relies on a different lattice equilibriumparticle distribution function and the use of a splitting method to solve the modeled lattice Boltzmann equation. The splitting technique permits the boundary conditions for the lattice Boltzmann equation to be set as con...

Finite-Size Effects in Nanoscale Lattice-Mismatched Lubricant Droplets

In this work we study finite-size effects of nanoscale lubricant 2D droplets (or islands) by molecular dynamics. A small lubricant droplet is confined between two 2D crystalline layers; the bottom layer is static, while the top one slides rigidly. Simulations show that small nearly-lattice-matched islands can snap to commensuration entirely, changing their initial particleparticle distance ap t...

Lattice Boltzmann model for thermal transpiration.

The conventional Navier-Stokes-Fourier equations with no-slip boundary conditions are unable to capture the phenomenon of gas thermal transpiration. While kinetic approaches such as the direct simulation Monte Carlo method and direct solution of the Boltzmann equation can predict thermal transpiration, these methods are often beyond the reach of current computer technology, especially for compl...

Finite-volume lattice Boltzmann method.

We present a finite-volume formulation for the lattice Boltzmann method (FVLBM) based on standard bilinear quadrilateral elements in two dimensions. The accuracy of this scheme is demonstrated by comparing the velocity field with the analytical solution of the Navier-Stokes equations for time dependent rotating Couette flow and Taylor vortex flow. To demonstrate the flexibility of the scheme, w...
